? Bibimbap (Korean Mixed Rice)

Authentic recipe from Myeongdong, packed with 5 kinds of stir-fried vegetables fragrant with sesame oil. Enhanced with thick smoked bacon, kimchi, and marinated egg, all mixed with rich gochujang. Finished with plating techniques that make it look as perfect as dining at a restaurant. ??

  • 1Japanese rice (cooked) ?
  • 2Thick smoked bacon
  • 35 kinds of vegetables ?: spinach ?, carrot ?, bean sprouts ?, shiitake mushroom ?, Japanese cucumber ?
  • 4Kimchi
  • 5Egg ?
  • 6White sesame seeds
Seasonings:
  • 7Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 8Light soy sauce
  • 9Sugar
  • 1Sesame oil ?
  • 1Salt
  • 1Vinegar
  • 1Serve with gochujang sauce on the side

?‍? Instructions
  1. 1Pick spinach leaves (leave a little stem), slice carrot, cucumber, and shiitake mushroom into strips. Clean bean sprouts thoroughly.
  2. 1Stir-fry each vegetable separately with salt, light soy sauce, and vinegar until slightly wilted, then add sesame oil. Set aside.
  3. 1Grill thick smoked bacon and luncheon meat until golden and appetizing.
  4. 1Brush a thin layer of sesame oil on the bottom of the bibimbap bowl (Dolsot 돌솥 Bibimbap 비빔밥) to prevent the rice from sticking. Add cooked Japanese rice and spread evenly.
  5. 1Arrange the side dishes in sections: the stir-fried vegetables, followed by grilled thick smoked bacon and luncheon meat.
    Tip: Arrange the vegetables vertically and place the bacon and luncheon meat in the center.
  6. 1Sprinkle toasted white sesame seeds on top, add marinated egg, and serve with gochujang sauce and kimchi.
